Summer of Love & Lavender

After losing her husband in an accident, Noelle Lyon takes refuge at an inherited lavender farm on an island in the Salish Sea, convinced she’s had her one shot at love. She makes ends meet selling lavender soap and lotion until tourism dries up and a developer wants to turn her farmhouse into a mansion. In a last ditch effort to save her farm and business, she enters a local contest with a $100,000 cash prize.

Noelles competition includes Finn Huxley, a grumpy marine biologist living in a cabin on the coast and recovering from a bad breakup. Finn is studying a pod of endangered orcas and hopes his findings will lead to the creation of a whale sanctuary, but he needs the prize money to save the lighthouse where he’s conducted his research for the past nine summers.

When a suspicious string of incidents appears to target prize contestants, Noelle and Finn begin working together to please the eccentric widow offering the prize. They’re both afraid to trust again, but sparks fly as they salvage broken pottery, herd wayward alpacas, and plan a festival weekend to lure visitors to the island. As the summer progresses, shared confidences and an undeniable connection draw them ever closer, but in the end, only one person can win the cash.
